The golden Gauloise, whose male is named Gallic Rooster, is a medium-sized breed that has retained some features of its original character. It can for example, still fly over several feet, which is rare nowadays in breeds of domestic chickens. Note: "Gallus", in Latin, means both "cock" and "Gallic".
