Aquamarine is a blue to blue-green variety of the mineral Beryl. As a semi-precious stone, aquamarine is known for its pale blue color, though it can occur naturally as pale green. When treated with high heat (750 degrees), green forms of aquamarine will change to blue. These specimens of aquamarine are pale green in color.
